Community Guidelines

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Bongo is a place to go live, meet people and have fun. These guidelines keep it safe and welcoming. They apply to live streams, chat, profiles, photos, posts, usernames and gifts. They're part of our Terms of Service.

Draft: this page is being reviewed by a lawyer and may change.

1Adults only

  • Bongo is only for people 18 and older.
  • Never show, stream, invite or talk sexually with anyone under 18. We remove this immediately, close the account and report it to the authorities.

2No nudity or sexual content

  • No nudity, sexual acts or sexually explicit content, including in photos and posts.
  • No asking for or offering sexual content or services, in public or in private.
  • Swimwear and underwear in a normal, non-sexual setting are OK. Streams that focus on bodies in a sexual way aren't.

3Respect people

  • No harassment, bullying, threats or unwanted repeated contact.
  • No hate: no attacks on people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or illness.
  • Don't share anyone's private information, such as their address, phone number or documents.
  • Consent: don't stream people who haven't agreed to be on camera, and never in private places such as bathrooms or changing rooms.

4Keep it safe

  • No violence, weapons used to threaten, or dangerous stunts that could get someone hurt.
  • No promoting drugs, selling regulated goods or encouraging illegal activity.
  • No content that promotes or encourages suicide, self-harm or eating disorders. If you're struggling, you're welcome here, and help is available: see the crisis lines below.
  • If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first, then report it.

5Be real

  • No spam, scams, fake giveaways, or selling followers, coins or accounts.
  • In direct messages, don't ask people for money or gifts, and don't pressure anyone to move to another app.
  • Don't pretend to be another person or brand.
  • Don't stream or share content you don't have the rights to, such as TV, films, sports broadcasts or other people's music played as the main content.

6What happens if rules are broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, end a stream, mute someone in chat, limit features, or suspend or delete an account. Some things, such as anything involving minors or threats of violence, lead to immediate removal and may be reported to the authorities. Streamers and their chat moderators can also delete messages and mute people in their own streams.

7Reporting

Tap a person's name in a stream or chat, or open their profile, then choose Report. Reports are private: the person won't know who reported them. Moderators review every report, and reports about self-harm go to the front of the queue. You can also Block anyone so you no longer see each other.
